Deeply Disturbed: The Emergent Forests of the Future

Peter Del Tredici will talk about the impacts of climate change, urbanization, and invasive species on the forests of the Northeast. The evening will begin at 6:30 with light refreshments, followed by the lecture at 7:00. Peter has been a long-time, active voice in horticulture, botany, and landscape architecture. He worked for Harvard University from 1972 on, at the Harvard Forest, the Arnold Arboretum, and the Graduate School of Design. He has lectured widely on urban ecology and the role that plants play in making cities more livable. Sponsored by the Weston Tree Advisory Group.
